It is my honor and privilege, as the 25th Chapter President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Theta Rho Lambda Chapter, to welcome you to our website. For over 60 years, Theta Rho Lambda Chapter has stood as a beacon of excellence and community leadership in the Northern Virginia area. Throughout our rich history, the servant-leaders and men of distinction who have proudly called our chapter home have consistently and positively impacted our community in long-lasting ways—truly embodying our esteemed Fraternity’s aims of “Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love for All Mankind.”

As you navigate our website, I hope that you will take note of and join us at our community service initiatives, social and wellness activities, civic engagement projects, or any of our other signature events where we strive to meaningfully contribute to the Arlington and Alexandria, Virginia, communities. Additionally, I encourage you to learn about the Dr. William T. Syphax Charitable Foundation, our 501(c)(3) partner organization named after a beloved Theta Rho Lambda Charter Brother. The Dr. William T. Syphax Charitable Foundation has made it the organization’s mission to empower futures and strengthen communities through community engagement and providing much-needed scholarships and mentorship to deserving high school seniors in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The Theta Rho Lambda Chapter is proud to stand alongside the Dr. William T. Syphax Foundation as we work together to uplift our future leaders by providing them with quality educational programming and financial support.
