Yesterday, brothers came together for our annual M Yesterday, brothers came together for our annual Martin Luther King Jr. day of service, continuing our support of Volunteer Arlington. Volunteer Arlington is a public- private partnership between the Leadership Center of Arlington and Arlington County. Volunteer Arlington connects individuals, groups, nonprofits, and businesses in an effort to promote volunteerism. It is the connection hub that links volunteers both as individuals and groups to organizations in need of support. Working in partnership with nonprofits, private businesses and government entities, Volunteer Arlington inspires civic engagement that in turn strengthens our community. Special thanks to the CEO of Leadership Arlington, Lisa Fikes, for taking a moment to share why this partnership is so important. Theta Rho Lambda Chapter was the first satellite chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in the Washington metropolitan area that was chartered outside of Washington, D.C. (December 30, 1964). It was organized to affect greater Alpha leadership and participation in the affairs of Northern Virginia and the Metropolitan area communities.
